5Cr8WMo2VSi (VIKING) steel is an oil-cooled, air-cooled hardening die steel with good hardenability and toughness. Suitable for punches and cold forging dies requiring between 55 and 60HRC. In addition, due to the combination of good hardness, wear resistance and toughness, it is suitable for the manufacture of non-metallic tool materials and electronic connectors.
