Inconel 601 is a nickel-chromium superalloy renowned for its excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance. Below is a detailed introduction:

Chromium (Cr): 21.0%-25.0%
Iron (Fe): Maximum 13%
Aluminum (Al): 1.0%-1.7%

Sulfur (S): Maximum 0.015%

Performance Characteristics
Exceptional High-Temperature Oxidation Resistance: Maintains oxidation resistance at temperatures up to 1180°C by forming a dense, spallation-resistant oxide film.
Carburization Resistance: Exhibits good resistance to carburization in high-temperature environments.
Sulfur-Containing Atmosphere Resistance: Performs well in high-temperature sulfur-rich atmospheres with strong oxidation resistance.
High-Temperature Strength: Retains adequate ductility even after long-term service at elevated temperatures.
Processing Performance
Hot and Cold Workability: Suitable for both hot working and cold working processes.
Weldability: Easily weldable. For welding, it is recommended to use 601 alloy gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) filler wires with matching compositions to ensure the oxidation resistance of welded joints.
