Basic Information: Its common aliases include F55 and 1.4501. It is a duplex stainless steel with a microstructure composed of austenite and ferrite.
Chemical Composition: It mainly contains elements such as chromium (about 25%), nickel (about 7%), molybdenum (about 3.5%), copper (about 1.0%), tungsten (about 1.0%), and nitrogen (about 0.25%). The addition of tungsten can improve the pitting – resistance equivalent number (PREN) of the steel, enhancing its pitting – corrosion resistance, and copper can improve its general corrosion resistance.
